The OnePlus 7 Pro used in the test costs £799 and includes 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.
Meanwhile the S10+ lands in your pocket for £899 and features 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.
Both of the phones used in test were powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 855 processor and were updated with the latest Android 9 Pie software.
Clearly, that extra RAM in the OnePlus 7 Pro has helped it battle well against the S10+ but the fact it’s also £100 cheaper is slightly emabarraing for Samsung.
Amazingly, it’s the much cheaper OnePlus 7 Pro that comes out on top with this device beating the Galaxy S10+ by a considerable margin.
At the end of the first round the 7 Pro has a seven second lead which increasing slightly after the second session of lauching apps.
The final timings see the OnePlus flaghip ending the test in 2 minutes 35 seconds with the Galaxy S10+ slower with a time of 2 minutes 43 seconds.
Although the OnePlus 7 Pro doesn’t have that party trick up its sleeve it does feature a screen which covers every corner of the phone and, with a pop-up selfie snapper, there’s no sign of a notch or hole-punched camera.
The 7 Pro also ships with its Warp Charger which refills this phone at superfast speeds.
So, both the S10 and OnePlus 7 Pro are devices that you’ll definitely want in your pocket but it appears that one of these flagship phones has a major advantage over the other.
