Many fans suffering from the abnormality recently took to Reddit to discuss the matter.
One in particular claimed their machine’s Task Manager listed Cortana as taking up a whopping 90 percent of CPU usage.
The high amount of CPU usage being harnessed by Cortana could drastically hinder the performance of a Windows 10 PC.
While some Microsoft fans have suggested the problem can be fixed by editing the Windows 10 Registry, it seems the safest option for now is to uninstall the KB4512941 update.
This can be done by heading to Settings > Update and Security > View update history > Uninstall updates.
Selecting KB4512941 will remove the software – this should fix the high CPU problems some are experiencing.
As noted by Windows Latest, the KB4512941 was tested by members of Microsoft’s Windows Insider programme ahead of its full debut.
The outlet noted claims of high CPU usage were reported – however it seems this problem was not remedied.
