This means social media notifications and messages from third-party messaging clients will appear on the computer in question, instantly alerting users to everything that is going on.
Microsoft’s Windows Insider Twitter page made the announcement – the functionality should be present in the newest version of the Your Phone app.
As noted by The Verge, users are only able to view their notifications on their computer.
This means fans are unable to interact with any alerts they receive which will surely come as a disappointment to many.
However, it appears Microsoft is attempting to increase the synergies between Android smartphones and PCs further with a new function called “phone screen” that launched in beta form for Windows Insiders back in March.
As the name suggests, the feature allows users to mimic their phone screen onto their computer.
Moreover, the function also promises to let fans interact with their phone’s apps, potentially providing a solution for the lack of Your Phone notification interactivity.
Unfortunately, the “phone screen” feature is not available to all users yet and only currently supports Samsung Galaxy S8 and S9 handsets.
Microsoft has declared it plans to expand the roster of eligible devices in the future.
“No need to dig for your phone to text. And you can finally stop emailing yourself photos.
“With the Your Phone app you get instant access to your phone’s photos, texts and more on your computer.”
While the Your Phone app is already an incredibly handy tool for many Windows 10 fans, the software is now receiving a major upgrade.
Microsoft recently declared it has launched a new feature for the programme that will allow Windows 10 PCs to display all notifications from a paired handset.
The software has a deluge of appealing features, one of which is the American tech giant’s Your Phone app that allows users to instantly share photos and text messages between their handset and PC.
Once a phone is paired with a computer, photos that are taken on the former will instantly appear on the latter for instance.
